About the Portal

What is Night Driver Auction Portal?
Night Driver Auction Portal is a Japan auction browsing and export-support portal. It helps customers search vehicles, review basic auction information, and send inquiries before bidding or purchasing.
Is this a car dealer website?
This site is mainly an auction and export-support portal. Some vehicles may be available from stock, but many listings are auction-based and may sell quickly. Please contact us to confirm availability before planning a purchase.
What is this portal for?
This portal is for browsing Japanese auction vehicles, checking basic vehicle information, and sending inquiries before bidding or export arrangements.

Auction Listings

Are the vehicles on the portal always available?
Not always. Auction listings change frequently. A vehicle may be sold, withdrawn, rescheduled, or updated by the auction house. Please treat the portal as a search and inquiry tool, not as a guaranteed live stock list.
Why do some vehicles disappear from the list?
Japanese auction data changes daily. Vehicles may disappear after the auction ends, when the auction house updates the listing, or when the vehicle is no longer available for bidding.
Can I ask about a specific auction lot?
Yes. Please send us the lot number, auction house, vehicle name, or the page URL from this portal. We can then check the details and explain the next step.

Auction Sheets & Condition

What is an auction sheet?
An auction sheet is a condition report prepared for a vehicle at a Japanese auction. It may include the auction grade, mileage, equipment, repair history notes, exterior marks, interior condition, and inspector comments.
Can you explain or translate the auction sheet?
Yes. If an auction sheet is available, we can help explain the key points in plain English, including visible damage marks, repair notes, warning comments, and points that may affect export or resale value.
Should I judge a vehicle only by the auction grade?
No. The auction grade is useful, but it is only one part of the condition check. Photos, sheet comments, mileage, age, interior condition, repair notes, corrosion, and destination compliance should also be considered before bidding.

Bidding & Purchase Requests

How do I start a bidding request?
Send us the vehicle details and your maximum budget. If the vehicle looks suitable, we will confirm the next steps, estimated costs, payment timing, and bidding conditions.
Can I set a maximum bid?
Yes. You should always set a maximum bid before the auction. We do not recommend bidding without a clear limit, because the final auction price can move quickly.
Can I cancel after winning an auction?
In most cases, no. Once a vehicle is successfully purchased at auction, cancellation is usually not possible without penalties. Please check all details carefully before confirming a bid.

Pricing & Payments

Are prices shown in Japanese Yen?
Yes. Auction prices and many Japan-side costs are normally based in JPY. Any estimated overseas amount should be treated as a guide only, because exchange rates and destination costs can change.
What costs should I expect?
Typical costs may include the vehicle price, auction-related fees, service fee, Japan domestic transport, export documents, inspection if required, shipping, marine insurance if arranged, and destination-side import costs. The exact cost depends on the vehicle and destination country.
Are import duty, GST, VAT, compliance, or registration included?
Usually no, unless clearly stated in writing. Destination-side costs are different in each country. Customers should confirm local import rules, taxes, compliance, and registration requirements before purchasing.
Are there hidden fees?
We aim to explain known costs clearly before you proceed. Some costs, such as shipping updates, exchange-rate differences, storage, destination charges, or extra inspection requirements, may change depending on timing and destination rules.

Export & Shipping

Can you export vehicles from Japan?
Yes. We can support Japan-side export arrangements, including coordination for transport, export paperwork, and shipping where available.
Which countries can you support?
We may be able to support destinations such as New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, Fiji, and other selected markets. Availability depends on shipping routes, import rules, and the type of vehicle.
Do you guarantee that a vehicle can be imported into my country?
No. Import eligibility depends on your destination country's laws, age limits, emission rules, safety standards, inspections, and compliance requirements. We can help check common points, but the final responsibility for local import approval remains with the buyer/importer.

Timeline & After Purchase

How long does the process take?
The timeline depends on the auction date, payment timing, Japan domestic transport, export paperwork, shipping schedule, and destination port processing. We will give you a realistic estimate after confirming the vehicle and destination.
What happens after a vehicle is purchased?
After purchase, the vehicle is normally transported from the auction location, prepared for export, and booked for shipping when possible. We will update you as each major step progresses.
Will I receive documents for import?
Yes. Export-related documents will be arranged according to the vehicle, shipping method, and destination requirements. The exact documents may vary depending on the country and shipment.

Auction Bidding Policy

Refundable Max Bid Deposit

For auction bidding, customers may be asked to pay a refundable Max Bid Deposit before we place a bid. This deposit is based on the maximum bid amount approved by the customer.

Confirmed Maximum Bid

Night Driver will never bid above your confirmed maximum bid. Your approved limit is used as the highest amount we may bid on your behalf.

If the Vehicle Is Not Won

If the vehicle is not won at auction, your deposit can be refunded or kept as credit for your next bid request.

If Won Below Your Maximum Bid

If the vehicle is won below your approved maximum bid, the unused balance may be refunded or applied toward remaining costs such as service fees, transport, inspection, or shipping.

Successful Auction Bid

Once the vehicle is successfully won at auction, the bid is final and the deposit will be applied toward the vehicle purchase and export process.

Night Driver Auction Portal is not an official auction house. We provide auction bidding support, vehicle checking, and export coordination for customers buying from Japanese vehicle auctions.

Auction Vehicle Condition

Japanese auction vehicles are normally purchased based on the auction sheet, auction photos, and information provided by the auction house.

Based on Auction Information

Before bidding, we review the auction sheet, photos, condition notes, auction grade, mileage, and visible risks based on the information available.

No Standard On-Site Inspection

In most cases, we do not carry out a physical on-site vehicle inspection before bidding unless it is separately arranged and available.

Third-Party Auction Data

Auction information is provided by third-party auction houses. Although we review the information carefully, unseen defects or differences may exist.

Bid With Understanding

All auction bids are made based on the available auction information at the time of bidding. Once a vehicle is won, the bid is final.

Please understand that auction sheet information, photos, and actual vehicle condition may not always perfectly match. Hidden faults, wear, repairs, or differences may exist.
